Description

You know how some running games just throw you into a world that’s way too clean? Well, this one takes a different turn. Trash Cat drops you smack in the middle of alleys stacked with old pizza boxes and wobbly cans, all while you play as either an oddball cat or a sneaky raccoon. The goal is simple enough: keep running as long as you can—but it’s really not as easy as it sounds. Stuff comes flying at you when you least expect it. Sometimes I think I’m about to grab a fishbone and then—bam—a banana peel sends me sliding the wrong way. The controls stick to classic runner vibes: swipe left or right to dodge, hop over mounds of junk (it’s oddly satisfying), and occasionally snag power-ups that feel like tiny moments of relief. There’s this small thrill every time you collect enough bones for new hats or silly accessories. Actually makes me smile. Kids will love the goofy animal skins, but honestly, there’s something for everyone who enjoys chasing leaderboards or squeezing in quick runs during breaks. Sometimes I wish the pace would let up after a tough stretch—just for a breather—but then again, that's probably what keeps it from feeling dull. It doesn’t try to be more than what it is: fast, slightly messy fun.

At first, I picked Trash Cat just because the idea of sprinting through garbage as an alley cat sounded too weird to pass up. It starts off pretty lighthearted—you get those bouncy tunes and cute character choices (raccoons in hats are always good). After maybe ten minutes though, the challenge ramps up fast. Suddenly every jump feels risky and missing one fishbone starts to sting more than expected. I do get some frustration when obstacles pile up so tight there’s barely any room to breathe; sometimes it feels unfair rather than fun. That said—the controls work well enough that when I mess up, I know it was on me most of the time. And well, unlocking new outfits never gets old for me. If you're after deep storylines or fancy visuals...maybe look elsewhere? But if goofy chaos appeals now and then—it hits that spot.
