How to Play
WASD or arrows to move Spacebar pops out the frogs tongue
Description
In Push the Frog, you’re set in control of an oddly charming little frog with a truly impressive tongue—really, it's a bit much! The whole point? Figure out how to help this frog eat every last pesky mosquito on each stage. You do this by stretching the tongue in just the right direction and making your moves count. Sometimes that part really matters, really. It’s not just about speed; there’s a layer of logic here that keeps things engaging.
What I find interesting is how often you’ll need to pause and actually think through your next step instead of blindly leaping in. There are moments when I had to retrace my plan because I’d cornered myself, so it’s not as mindless as it looks on first glance.
The graphics are kept simple—colorful but not distracting—which probably makes sense since it feels aimed at kids or anyone looking for something light. Still, adults who enjoy casual puzzles can easily get hooked too, especially if you like tweaking solutions until they fit just right.
Sometimes it’s nice to play something where the challenge is more about planning than reflexes. If you have a few minutes or need a gentle brain break, this fits well.

So I gave Push the Frog a try thinking it would be one of those quick play-and-forget puzzlers—but honestly? It pulled me in deeper than expected. At first I was convinced it would be too easy (you know how these cutesy games can be), but after only a couple levels I found myself stuck scratching my head over which route actually worked best.
That said, sometimes figuring out exactly where to move gets repetitive if you don’t love trial-and-error mechanics. A few more twists or power-ups would’ve added some needed spice after awhile. But there’s still real satisfaction when your little froggy finally snags every mosquito after puzzling through the route.
I wouldn’t call it endlessly replayable, but for passing time or clearing your head—yeah, worth loading up.
