Coolberries is one of those matching puzzles that at first glance looks easygoing, but quickly hooks you. The board fills with all kinds of bright berries, other fruits, and random candies scattered about. Your job? Combine the same ones by sliding or dropping them together, so they merge into something even better (and tastier looking). If you've played those classic '2048'-style games where things add up with every move, it's sort of that vibe—but more colorful, maybe a little less predictable. The pace isn't rushed; you're given time to think through moves. Sometimes you want to sit back and just plan several steps ahead, sometimes you end up frantically trying to avoid filling up the board by combining whatever’s available. It’s interesting how quickly your strategy can crumble when one berry doesn’t quite land where you expected. The design leans sweet—literally. All the visuals have this candy shop charm; soft edges, playful colors. I’d say it clearly targets people who like puzzle games but also enjoy unwinding with something visually pleasant. Actually, if you don’t care much for high scores or competing with yourself there might not be much here beyond the merging loop—but honestly, some days that’s all you want.

I’ve been coming back to Coolberries whenever I need a quick break from work or just want something low-key on my screen. At first it felt a bit too sweet and cutesy for my taste—almost like it was designed for kids more than adults—but then again, it's surprisingly satisfying when everything lines up perfectly. Combining fruits gives off these small pops of color that are hard not to enjoy after a while. It gets tricky faster than you’d expect; sometimes I make a clever chain and feel clever... only to mess up the next turn completely. To be honest, though, I do wish there were just one or two extra powerups or shake-ups mid-game—the variety could help on longer sessions. Still, despite its simple setup (or maybe because of it), Coolberries keeps pulling me back in.
