No timers or scoreboards. Just an uncluttered digital page, a palette of warm and bright colors below. You tap (or click), color spills into place with this pleasant soft sound that makes it feel more tactile than you’d expect for something so digital. Kids will probably love it best, but adults who remember doodling in their notebooks might get drawn in too. I found myself trying out odd color combinations at one point—not sure why orange foxes made sense to me that day, but there they were. Well, it’s interesting how the simplest touch—the ability to undo a mistake instantly—keeps things breezy even for clumsy fingers (mine included). There aren’t real rules here; you can fill pages however you like and leave them unfinished if you want. It might seem pretty basic at first glance, but actually there’s something almost meditative about the pacing—no pressure to finish anything. So whether someone’s looking to wind down before bed or keep a kid quietly occupied on a rainy afternoon, Sprunki kind of fits both moods. That surprised me.

I came into Sprunki Coloring Book Adventure thinking I’d be bored within minutes—it seemed aimed mostly at young kids or just folks passing time. To be honest though, I ended up staying longer than expected. Picking colors felt oddly satisfying and seeing my strange choices pop up on screen cheered me up mid-afternoon. One thing: there could have been more detail in some designs—every once in a while I wanted just a few extra patterns or maybe some shading options to make things pop a bit more. Still, if unwinding is what someone’s after (with minimal fuss), this hits the spot well enough. It doesn’t reinvent coloring apps but manages to keep things casual and lighthearted without nagging for perfection.
